1、Cleaning and sterilizing
1 week before entering the chicks will be brooder house inside and outside a thorough cleaning, and high-pressure water to thoroughly flush the ground, doors, windows, walls, ceilings and fixed cages, etc., the chicken coop supplies, utensils, thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, and rinsed with clean water and placed in the sun to dry for spare parts.
2、Preparation of tools
Prepare enough buckets and drinkers. General 0 ~ 3 weeks of age per 1,000 chickens need to drink 20, 20 material tray (barrel); later with the increase in age, we should increase the number of appropriate barrels and drinkers in a timely manner to ensure that the vast majority of chicks can feed and prepare at the same time the brooder, bedding, drugs, disinfectant equipment, syringes and so on.
3、Pre-heating and warming
1 ~ 2 days before the start of brooding, start the heating system, so that the temperature of the brooding area to 32 ℃ ~ 34 ℃. If the local temperature is high, maintaining the ambient temperature is sufficient. The specific time to start preheating should be based on the way of brooding, season, outside temperature and heating equipment, always check the temperature gauge to see if the temperature of the brooder area meets the requirements.
4、Installation of lighting
Prepare 100 watts, 60 watts, 40 watts and 25 watts of incandescent lamps a number of spare, light and light interval of 3 meters, columns and columns of staggered, the height from the upper layer of chicken head 50-60 cm, for the use of three-dimensional brooder cages to be installed in the penultimate first to the second between the cages of the bulb to supplement the light;
5、Other preparations
Prepare the feed, can be equipped with a pellet machine to meet the different growth cycles of poultry feeding needs. Arrange the funds, pick up chickens personnel, vehicles, etc., personnel in addition to driving, but also have a know-how feeding management personnel. Vehicle with good performance, complete formalities, moderate size, with warm air, air-conditioning equipment; prohibit any idle personnel and no sterilized utensils into the chicken coop, waiting for the arrival of chicks.
